hiya, I have more than 2,000 files to convert to ccitt A law format for phone purpose. I used SF batch converter but it brings a bit more noise than if i do it manually in sound forge. Maybe because of the non linear 16 bit to 8 bit compression. (I don't really know how it works to get ccitt a law file) Can anyone please tell me if there is a software or script that converts thousands of files with a better sound at this format? Much obliged, Didier |

What about Tools - Batch Convert? If not, what process do you use to manually do it? |

1: with which software and which version? as i don't have a tools-batch convert in any menu item in vegas, SF and batch converter. 2: i save files as new ccitt a law files with new attributes. |

same thing as my issue regardings region removal. I use SF 4.5 in-built batch converter to save my files as cctt a law. Better sound (no hiss, no extra noise) than using Batch Converter 5.0. maybe an issue regarding algorithm or something. I don't know much about this. Didier |
