Ok here is the deal...I'm using Acid Pro 3 and for the longest time now when I try to download "Media from the Web" it freezes up...Now it gives me an error message...I've tried to re-install the program and that doesn't work..I've tried numerous other things and it doesn't work...I'm not doing anything differently and I have also installed some of the dll files that came up in the error message to no avail...It still doesn't work....I am using Windows XP...Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.... Here is what comes up in the error message Sonic Foundry ACID Pro 3.0 Version 3.0 (Build 189) Exception 0xC0000005 (access violation) READ:0x46B7C554 IP:0x771B4621 In Module 'WININET.dll' at Address 0x771B0000 + 0x4621 Thread: GUI ID=0xD68 Stack=0x12B000-0x130000 Registers: EAX=020c9ed0 CS=001b EIP=771b4621 EFLGS=00010202 EBX=020c9ed0 SS=0023 ESP=0012bc68 EBP=0012bc78 ECX=01f695d0 DS=0023 ESI=037a8000 FS=003b EDX=46b7c554 ES=0023 EDI=46b7c554 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 771B4621: 8A 0F 84 C9 74 0B 38 08 ....t.8. 771B4629: 75 07 40 47 80 38 00 75 u.@G.8.u Stack Dump: 0012BC68: 0365E0B8 03230000 + 42E0B8 0012BC6C: 00000003 0012BC70: 01F695D0 01F00000 + 695D0 0012BC74: 01F73B48 01F00000 + 73B48 0012BC78: 0012BCC8 00030000 + FBCC8 0012BC7C: 771B41DF 771B0000 + 41DF (WININET.dll) 0012BC80: 0365E0B8 03230000 + 42E0B8 0012BC84: 020C9ED0 01F00000 + 1C9ED0 0012BC88: 00000000 0012BC8C: 01F73B48 01F00000 + 73B48 0012BC90: 77239A30 771B0000 + 89A30 (WININET.dll) 0012BC94: 00000000 0012BC98: 7C810CA2 7C800000 + 10CA2 (kernel32.dll) 0012BC9C: 03230000 03230000 + 0 0012BCA0: 0365E0B8 03230000 + 42E0B8 0012BCA4: 0365E000 03230000 + 42E000 > 0012BCCC: 771CC1B2 771B0000 + 1C1B2 (WININET.dll) > 0012BCDC: 7C901005 7C900000 + 1005 (ntdll.dll) > 0012BCE0: 77239A30 771B0000 + 89A30 (WININET.dll) > 0012BCEC: 771BEC65 771B0000 + EC65 (WININET.dll) > 0012BD04: 771B3A78 771B0000 + 3A78 (WININET.dll) > 0012BD14: 77235D85 771B0000 + 85D85 (WININET.dll) > 0012BD18: 771CC278 771B0000 + 1C278 (WININET.dll) > 0012BD24: 771CC4AF 771B0000 + 1C4AF (WININET.dll) > 0012BD50: 771CC36E 771B0000 + 1C36E (WININET.dll) > 0012BD74: 7C809A0F 7C800000 + 9A0F (kernel32.dll) > 0012BD88: 771CC31B 771B0000 + 1C31B (WININET.dll) > 0012BDA0: 771CC2DB 771B0000 + 1C2DB (WININET.dll) > 0012BDB4: 7C809A28 7C800000 + 9A28 (kernel32.dll) > 0012BDC0: 771B73B2 771B0000 + 73B2 (WININET.dll) > 0012BDD8: 771C265C 771B0000 + 1265C (WININET.dll) > 0012BDE8: 771CC2CF 771B0000 + 1C2CF (WININET.dll) > 0012BE08: 771C2B39 771B0000 + 12B39 (WININET.dll) > 0012BE60: 77F67EEC 77F60000 + 7EEC (SHLWAPI.dll) > 0012BE70: 77F730B4 77F60000 + 130B4 (SHLWAPI.dll) > 0012BE94: 0101BC8C 01000000 + 1BC8C (acidk.dll) 0012BE98: 020C64F0 01F00000 + 1C64F0 0012BE9C: 0012BDF8 00030000 + FBDF8 0012BEA0: 00000006 0012BEA4: 00000040 > 0012BEB8: 7D73C370 7D4A0000 + 29C370 (mshtml.dll) > 0012BEC0: 7D507C19 7D4A0000 + 67C19 (mshtml.dll) > 0012BED4: 7C9105C8 7C900000 + 105C8 (ntdll.dll) > 0012BEE0: 7C9105C8 7C900000 + 105C8 (ntdll.dll) > 0012BEEC: 7C910551 7C900000 + 10551 (ntdll.dll) > 0012BEF4: 7C91056D 7C900000 + 1056D (ntdll.dll) > 0012BF04: 7C9106EB 7C900000 + 106EB (ntdll.dll) > 0012BF08: 774FD01B 774E0000 + 1D01B (ole32.dll) > 0012BF1C: 774FD053 774E0000 + 1D053 (ole32.dll) > 0012BF20: 77606034 774E0000 + 126034 (ole32.dll) > 0012BF2C: 7D540C86 7D4A0000 + A0C86 (mshtml.dll) > 0012BF3C: 771BBE99 771B0000 + BE99 (WININET.dll) > 0012BF48: 771BBE99 771B0000 + BE99 (WININET.dll) > 0012BF4C: 771BBE99 771B0000 + BE99 (WININET.dll) > 0012BF54: 771BBE99 771B0000 + BE99 (WININET.dll) > 0012BF7C: 77235D85 771B0000 + 85D85 (WININET.dll) > 0012BF80: 771C2A60 771B0000 + 12A60 (WININET.dll) > 0012BF8C: 771BCD03 771B0000 + CD03 (WININET.dll) > 0012BFAC: 771BB20D 771B0000 + B20D (WININET.dll) > 0012BFC8: 771C62B6 771B0000 + 162B6 (WININET.dll) > 0012BFEC: 7727B168 77260000 + 1B168 (urlmon.dll) > 0012C030: 7727AB2C 77260000 + 1AB2C (urlmon.dll) > 0012C060: 7C915041 7C900000 + 15041 (ntdll.dll) > 0012C07C: 7C915233 7C900000 + 15233 (ntdll.dll) > 0012C0A4: 7C9155C9 7C900000 + 155C9 (ntdll.dll) > 0012C0E4: 7C91554A 7C900000 + 1554A (ntdll.dll) > 0012C104: 7C9153F5 7C900000 + 153F5 (ntdll.dll) > 0012C11C: 7D574DEA 7D4A0000 + D4DEA (mshtml.dll) > 0012C120: 7C97CE28 7C900000 + 7CE28 (ntdll.dll) > 0012C158: 7C915D7D 7C900000 + 15D7D (ntdll.dll) > 0012C164: 7C915DB4 7C900000 + 15DB4 (ntdll.dll) > 0012C168: 7C97CE3A 7C900000 + 7CE3A (ntdll.dll) > 0012C16C: 7D574DEA 7D4A0000 + D4DEA (mshtml.dll) Cheers Mark Message last edited on3/23/2005 8:45:39 PM byDj1. |

Please try updating or reinstalling Internet Explorer. ACID used Internet Explorer to access the Get Media pages, and something may get fixed if you reinstall. |

Thanks Dave for the tip....Ok this might sounds dumb but I'm using Windows XP home and I don't know how to uninstall the explorer and re install it....I have gone to add and remove programs but it is not in there...I've heard that with XP explorer is with it or something and you would have to re install XP...Is this true? Again thanks for your help |

theres a hidden folder in your windows directory: C:\WINDOWS\inf locate the file ie.inf and right click it, select install and be prepared to put in the xp cd. this will reinstall internet explorer. |
