I reported a preset bug in the new CDA and there is also a bug in SF8. I think the saving presets functionality needs to be looked at. What happens is say you load in plugin such as Isotope Ozone. In SF8 there are 2 places to name/save the plugin...the top data box for SF8 and the plugin's own preset save data box. Now say you go to the plugin preset data box and name/save a few presets. Now unload the plugin and reload it and name and save some presets in the main top data box (used by SF). Normally if you save a preset name in the top window and do not name a preset in the plugin's data window then the next time you recall the SF preset from the top data box the plugin data box should say <Untitled>. But that's not what happens...it grabs the first preset name saved with the plugin and shows it in the plugin data box. Also it seems to be random and not base on the name alphabetically. It makes it a little difficult to work with presets when the functionality is not correct...as it was in SF7. Bob |

Just use one method or the other. I expect the preset stuff inside the plug-in is proprietary to Ozone and not using the standard DirectX registry mechanism, so they won't play nice together. J. |

After experimenting I do think it's related to Ozone only, so far. However I'm using the same version of Ozone that I had when I was using Sound Forge 7 and never had this problem with the presets. Something has changed in SF8 in relation to presets. Bob |
