Subject:ASIO output questions ACID 5.0a

I'm having trouble with acid assigning the correct ASIO output for center & LFE channels in a 5.1 mix. Seems Acid wants to direct them to the rear channel outouts. I have 5.0a and al the updates for the 1820m. Any suggestions ?? ACID will route to whatever channels you have set up in your Audio preferences. It should route the Center/LFE device playback to whatever channels you tell it on your sound card. Where do you have them routed in Options > Preferences > Audio? ~jr |

Front L/R route to Dock Out 1 L/R in Acid, ASIO Out 1/2 Insert to Dock 1 DSP Rear L/R route to Dock Out 2 L/R in Acid, ASIO Out 3/4 Insert to Dock 2 DSP Center LFE route to Dock 3 L/R in Acid, ASIO Out 5/6 Insert to Dock 3 in DSP Center chan shows up in ASIO 3 no matter how I change the routing in Acid. Save changes, restart system. Nothing changes. |

Did you actually check the routings at the Master bus itself? The prefs are just defaults. They don't change the existing routes in a project unless you have changed to a different device or driver model. Peter |

Yup, I had been making changes in the preferences panel rather than using the option at the master bus. I was an option I overlooked when I was trying to get the routing setup. V |
