I saved a batch job which uses a custom MP3 encoding preset.

I have since modified the preset (changed quality from high to medium for speed).

However, when I open the saved batch job, not only does it use the old settings for the preset it PERMANENTLY CHANGES the preset back to the old state!!

Ouch!

I'm not seeing this... Did you remember to save the template after you modified it?

yep, sure did, and repeated the bug several times just to make sure

basically the saved script setting replaces the current preset

I haven't tried replicating the bug with anything other than the quality setting in the MP3 encoder, but I doubt if it's isolated to that one setting

I see what you're saying and I'm not convinced that this is a bug. Should a batch converter script using something you created and saved called "My Custom Template" resave "My Custom Template" (if it has changed of course) -- without asking you if you want to overwrite -- when you run the script? If there are two templates called "My Custom Template" can it use the non-saved one yet still call it "My Custom Template"?

I'll find out if this is a bug. Meantime save the templates as Custom1 and Custom2 so there's no confusion.

Found out it is a bug and I'm adding it to the database. Thanks.
