(Using SF 8) I noticed that when I try to record streaming audio (WMA) from the web, there is H-E-A-V-Y reverb/echo as it is recording. Then when I close SF 8 and open SF XP, there is no echo when I record the same audio. Why does SF 8 add the echo when recording streaming audio? (please don't put the blame on my M-audio Audiophile 2496) |

Go into the preferences menus and disable input monitoring. Options>Preferences>Audio tab This is enabled by default and when you click on the monitor button in the record window. You have a dual monitoring situation going on, where you are "recording what you hear" and both soundforge 8.0 now allows you to monitor the input. If you disable the one that's on by default in 8.0 in the preferences your echo should disappear. Let me know if this solves your problem. |

That seems to have worked. I also changed other settings there to use my soundcard. |
