Subject:Purchased SF 7.0 Only a Few Weeks Ago - Upgrade to SF 8.0 Should Be Free, Right?

At least that's what I was told when I purchased it - so the question I have for Sony is, how does that work? Will the new version accept the key I have for SF 7.0? I doubt it - so how do we go about securing the free upgrade, for those of us who purchased SF 7.0 within the past few weeks? I can't find any information about that anywhere. Please advise.

Not yet - you'd think they'd want to avoid a flurry of calls from everyone in this situation (unless there aren't that many) and just put the policy and procedure somewhere online. But yeah, if I don't get some solid info here by the afternoon, that's what I'll end up doing.

I think customer service is the way to go. I was able to get my $50 partial refund (for jumping the gun on the special deal) right away. Just submit your request (including current serial number) at custcenter.com.

Call customer service. I was in the same boat. Took about 10 minutes and
I had the new SNs for SF8 and CDA 5.2.
