When re-installing ACID Pro 4.0f, I get the following error message multiple times:

Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Shared Plug-ins\Audio\sfppack1.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147023898.

I am running Windows XP Professional on a Pentium IV (1.5GHz) Compaq Presario with 1GB of memory and lots of free disk space. The software had been running fine on this machines fine. I recently converted the C drive file system to NTFS from FAT32. When I tried to run Acid Pro after the file conversion, it would not longer run (I don't remember the exact message) although I can't say for sure if the conversion had anything to do with the failure. I uninstalled Acid and then attempted to reinstall the program which produced the error message listed above. I then went into the registry and removed all references to ACID and Sonic Foundry and attempted again to reinstall Acid Pro. This also failed with the same error message.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

When you uninstalled ACID, did you make sure to delete any leftover folder residue before reinstalling? (e.g., C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\ACID Pro 4.0)

I did delete \program Files\Sonic Foundry\ACID Pro 4.0. Are there other directories I need to delete? If I click on the ignore button in response to the many occurances of "Error 1904" and then attempt to launch Acid, I get the error "The application fails to initialize properly (0x000005)." I imagine this isn't too unexpected.

What else can I try? I would like to run ACID on my computer. What other information can I provide that might help diagnose the problem?
