I had the same question as Vocalpoint too. Lanco, it's simple math. For a 700MB CD, and say a 192 kbs MP3 is about 4-5MB each, a CD can fit about 150. Message last edited on3/15/2005 7:29:08 AM bytivosux. |

What does this have to do with SF? I possibly want to use SF going in the direction of my questions. Why do you suppose I would be asking these questions here? I am figuring that there is someone out there that is either using SF for the questions I am posting, or at least if they know the answer they are is kind enough to give me a courteous answer if they just happen to know the answer. OK? Isn't that why this forum is here? |

Thanx for your clear answer tivosux. Am I correct in assuming that as in midi files that the time lenght of a song cannot be generalized by how many, in this case MB's it is? In other words, say I have one song that is 8082 KB and the actual song plays for 4:56. Am I right in assuming just because one song lasts for 4:56 that it doesn't mean that it will always be 8082KB? That it would depend on, how do I say this, how dense the music is? Like maybe there is more notes being played and let's say a difference in volume? I hope you catch my drift. Best Scott |
