creating chapters w/o authoring

i have about 4 hours of unedited video that i want to put on 2 dvds.

it would be absolutely crazy to do this without putting chapters in here. I don't want them to be menu based dvds. is there any way to create chapters without having to go menu based.

i would just create markers in the timeline and try to burn the disc using DVDA and hope for the best but my Sony DRU-710A fails to burn 10/10 times through DVDA 2.0 so I burn my DVDs using Nero.

Any help would be appreciated

You can render the file to contain markers, and then put the file in DVDA, but don't create menu buttons for the markers. They'll still show up as skippable/forwarding/backward moving chapter points, just no menu buttons for those chapters.

try the single Movie on DVD, put the disk in the DVD and it plays with no menus at all, saving a lot of work.

You can still add chapters if require in the normal way in DVDA
