i have close to 4 hours of unedited standard digital video (.avi) on the timeline. I want to burn this unedited video to 2 DVD+Rs

is there a script available that will automatically start to render the project as a mpeg2 file and as it reaches it's size limit of 2 hours/ 4.7gigs it will automatically start to render the remaining half of the time line as a new file aka the 2nd DVD mpeg.

i'm sure there is probably ways of getting around this without scripts but i love automation.

First of all, you will need to create an MPEG2 preset that has the proper bitrate for 2 hours. Then you need to set up regions on the timeline for the different sections (i.e. first 2 hours is the first region, next 2 hours is the next region, etc...) then use one of the batch programs to render the regions. The VeggieToolkit is a great batch rendering program. Neon can also render regions to AVI.
