when working with video in acid, if i set a hit marker then place my cursor on a beat I choose "adjust market to cursor" or "cursor to marker" the whole song chages tempo.

is there any way to isolate the shift and maintain the bpm of the rest of the song?

I’m not entirely sure what you are trying to do as I’ve never actually used video myself.

Generally I can say that the adjust marker to cursor stuff all works on the basis of making tempo changes. So you can’t use that method without changing the tempo at all.

You could however try isolating a small region where the tempo changes occur by enclosing it within tempo markers.

A bit of trial and error with the above should show you if it will be any use to you or not.

Yes. Here’s the way this works. Adjust Tempo to Match Mark To Cursor will always adjust the previous tempo. If you drop a tempo marker AFTER the part you want to match (and there are no other tempo markers before the Time Marker), the project tempo will change but the next tempo marker will still be the same so the rest of your song will remain unaffected. I think this is what you are trying to achieve.

To get more precise, drop a tempo marker before and after the Time Marker and only the marker before the Time Marker will be affected. So the original song tempo will be maintained up to the first Tempo Marker, the tempo will be changed to make your hit happen on time, and the rest of the song after the second Tempo Marker will revert back to the project tempo (unchanged).
