whenever i open a wave file through sound forge, it plays back distorted. I have a MOTU soundcard, I was wondering if this was the problem. This also happens when i record in sound forge through the soundcard. |

Just an odd thought here.... I got totally wild results when I asked Sound Forge to record something in 24bit instead of my usual 16 bit/48 or 41,000 as per video and cd stats. I have a SB Audigy/PlatinumeEx sound card and it just couldn't cope with that challenge. When I returned my settings to the lower 16bit rate things worked right again. Good Luck.... |

On the Wave tab under Options>Preferences on the menu bar, try checking the option "try unpacked 24-bit format first". HTH, Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid mD's ACIDplanet Page Guitars 4 Kids |

I have SB Audigy, but I hame many problem on recording, Just try all the combinations 44-96khz, 16-24bits but the records results always low band filtered (4khz) and modulated sound... That's confirm to spectrum display on playback records wave files. The real time spectrum (1024 or less FFT) shows the reduced band also just press record procedure ... coul you help me? Thanks |
