need some MS.NET help

I downloaded MS .NET v2 yesterday, but the V5 demo won't detect it. It still says I need v1.1

Does anyone know a work around toget it working?

Unless you want v2 for some reason you can download 1.1

Applications compiled for 1.1 will continue to need 1.1. You can have the various frameworks installed side-by-side without trouble, if you need 2.0 for some other reason. I'm sure a future version of Vegas will be compiled for the 2.0 .NET framework.

I thought so. I got 2 because I was hoping I wouldn't need to update v1.1 every time a cool new script comes out.

yeah, but when I searched MS's web site for 1.1 the only links that shows up were the SDK & 1.1 SP1. I figured 2 would include 1.

I didn't think those two would work (I tried DirectX 9 SDK once & DX apps stopped working properly. Luckly there's an option to turn dev mode off).

Speaking of .NET v2, does anyone know what the difference is between the IA64 & x64 versions are? The only difference in their descriptions is a misspelled word.
