Microsoft Sound Mapper issue....? -ACID Product Family

Subject:Microsoft Sound Mapper issue....? Posted by: blak Date:2/18/2005 3:43:26 PM Hi, I'm using Acid 3.0 and just reformarted my computer. I seem to be getting an error saying the Microsoft Sound Mapper is in use. Is there anyway to fix this issue? Thanks all.

If this is Pro, you'll want to switch to your soundcard's specific WDM or ASIO driver. (Click the Audio tab under Options > Preferences on ACID's menu bar. Select the appropriate driver model under "audio device type.") Which version of Windows? You might want to disable any system sounds to see if that helps (via the "Sounds" applet in Control Panel).
