This is a two part question..what the hell is groove mapping? and how can i use it? :p...secondly, Can anybody recommend a proper equalizer plug-in, or recommend one that comes in ACID PRO 5...I wan't to drop all the bass out of a track, so that only the vocals can be heard louder, rather than the beat and the vocals. i undestand that you cant completely take the beat out of a song, but i need the proper settings for dropping the bass out and raising the treble up so that everything won't sound like its screaming and also to avoid redlining...THANKS

Groove Mapping allows you to change the way ACID interprets the beats in a loop. You can adjust the beats so they play early or late thus affecting the feel (or groove) of the loop. Try applying a groove like Hard Swing to a straight drum loop and hear the difference. Then change the groove (the bottom pink markers) and listen to how it changes the hits on the beat. Instant ACID has a chapter dedicated to Groove Mapping.

For EQ, try the Paragraphic EQ and enable the Low Shelf and High Shelf. Then adjust it to just leave the vocal range. You can even boost the vocals a bit with the same EQ.
