I have installed Acid Pro v.5 not long ago , Version 4 was also present untill today, today I just thought that I actually can uninstall Acid Pro 4 because I am not using it anyway....and I did. But after uninstalling 4, when I opend one of my projects made with 5, it says: Error: The FX plug-in "Sony Multi-Tap Delay" on track #4 was not found or did not load properly. The FX plug-in "Sony Multi-Tap Delay" on track #5 was not found or did not load properly .... and so on...... as if Acid Pro5 used the FX from 4.. But I do not know how to route the plug in dir to Acid 5 plug ins. or is the problem something else?? Please help thanks.. |

> as if Acid Pro5 used the FX from 4 Actually it does because they are shared DirectX plug-ins. I would try re-installing ACID Pro 5 to see if it fixes things. Perhaps the uninstall of ACID 4 accidentally deleted the plug-ins? If that doesn’t work, try re-installing ACID Pro 4. I haven’t uninstalled ACID Pro 4 yet so I can’t say if it uninstalls cleanly. ~jr |

> try re-installing ACID Pro 5 to see if it fixes things< Nope did not work, still sasys the same message, I have now re-installed Acid Pro 4, and only thrown away the Program files/Sony/ 'Acid 4' Folder, so the shared files from Acid Pro 4 are still there, any way it works :- ) thanks for your reply, JohnnyRoy |

This is why we have the migration utilities that were included with all the new Sony apps. Uninstalling ACID 4 is not actually removing the plug-ins, just unregistering them. All you need to do to fix this is: Start menu > Programs > Sony > Utilities > Migration Tools. Run the one titled: Register Sony DirectX Audio Plug-Ins To note, you will not see this problem w/ future versions of our products. This is a result of the change from Sonic Foundry to Sony. -Jenn |
