Subject:How to adjust for sibillance in female singer

Have just recently recorded a female singer and her voice has a lot of sibillance that needs to be reduced. Does Sound Forge have an option that will allow me to identify the frequency and correct for it. I seem to remember seeing it discussed in the help menu, but can't find it now.

Thanks

Frank

Also, customize the default de-esser settings by finding some problem areas and looking at them with the spectrum Analysis sonogram. Look for the frequency most prominent in the problem areas and set the center frequency to it. Then tweak the controls while previewing to get the degree of correction needed. Recently had to do a bunch of it on an archive recording and it can work miracles.

Good luck.

Even better, make her learn mic technique. She need's to keep her face off the mic. Post editing is inferior to proper recording.
