Is there a plugin to make soundforge a multitrack recorder.what are my options besides buying new software. also when I have the track armed I don't have audio but I have signal. Is that the way it's supposed to be?

No. Many on here will tell you to try Vegas.

Just like you don''t get an accessory to turn your Lada into an 18-wheeler, you can't turn a stereo editor into a multitrack recorder. Try Vegas.

Yes, the arming/monitor behaviour is normal. Can you address it in your soundcard mixer, to listen to the input signal ?

I changed the settings on the soundcard but I still can not hear the input.
