Hi, I recently bought a G4 powerbook & Ableton Live with the idea that I could do improvised live performances with little fuss or muss. I have quite a few files made in Acid (acid loops & home made loops chopped all to hell) & would like to move these files into the Ableton environment- Is there an easy way to do this without having to render my chopped acid tracks to individual wav/aiff files? I'm not sure if I'm even asking the question correctly & I really haven't even done much more than load Ableton on my computer(s) at this point, but would like to hear some working methods from people who use both programs. |

If I remember correctly, Live has its own stretching algorithm, so any hard work you did ACIDizing loop files will have to be reworked to adjust to Live's environment. If these are long tracks, there shouldn't be too much of a problem importing/exporting between the two, though I can't remember how Live treats long tracks (whether or not Live applies its stretching abilities to long tracks).
