I have been unsuccessful in finding DLS sound banks and I’ve looked quite a bit. There are 1000’s of free high quality Soundfonts available on the Internet. So what I would do is get a program that can convert Soundfonts (SF2) to DLS and make your own DLS library. I would start at Soundfont Resources. There is a program called Audio Compositor 4.0, which is only $40 which claims to do the conversion but I have never used it so I don’t know how good it is. Unfortunately, the trial doesn’t allow you to export so you can’t even test it. (kind of a useless trial if you ask me) Awave Studio is another editor that supports SF2 and DLS but it’s expensive ($129). The trial will allow you to save once per session so you can at least test it out. ~jr |
