mactac, Could you expand a little more on the midi sync issues you're experiencing with Acid? Here's a few question I have: Midi setup: -What midi interface are you using for Acid to send midi clock to? -What external sequencer are you using? -Is there another midi interface that your external sequencer is using to receive the midi clock and what is it? Workflow steps: -What are the steps you're doing that causes the midi sync to screw up? -What do you mean when you say "repeats in the acid file"? Are you referring to a midi loop within Acid? or are you playing Acid in loop mode of a section and losing sync when Acid loops the playback? Thanks, Red |

Red, I am working with mactac directly. He is not working with an external software sequencer (SONAR, Vision, etc) , but with external hardware that can slave to MIDI Clock. While I am unable to reproduce the problems mactac is having with the hardware I have available, there is no doubt he is having problems. I have had complete success in slaving software sequencers - SONAR, Vision, Reason, etc). I have had no issues with hardware devices - i.e. SR-16, Motif, i5M - that I have available to me. There seem to be a number of issues at play here. I am awaiting shipment of hardware that mactac has seen the problem on so that I can determine what the problems are. As I discover the specifics of the problem, I will post any appropriate information (or questions) here on the forum. My hope is to have these issues resolved in for the update of ACID 5.0 Peter |

Red, Do you have an Akai MPC? You mention that you have used one in another thread. Have you tried slaving it to ACID? Peter |

Sorry, I no longer have an Akai MPC. I use to use an Akai MPC-3000, MPC-2000xl, and MPC-60 where the MPC would be slaved to Vision's midi beat clock. I never had any problems syncing a Vision sequence with any of the MPC's, which would contain my drum sequenced tracks, but I've never done this same thing using Acid with the MPC's. |
