How do i keep image size same?

I am working with hi rez images (1600 X1000). I want to be same size when importing to vegas. How can i do that because i want to zoom in . Thanks

They can be that size when you import them. Just realize that the largest they'll be on export is 720 x 480, because that's the size of DV. So, you'll either have the whole image scaled down, or you'll use pan/crop to zoom in on them as you create motion.
