Subject:HELP ! Bugged GUI ACD project

Hey, I've been working on a project and after a crash, the project is totally bugged (but still plays fine, except you can't select multiple tracks or solo/mute CTRL-selected tracks !!).

Here's a screenshot : http://zacchino.free.fr/acd-gui-bug.gif

First I rebooted my PC, thinking it was the graphic card messing its memory, but I discovered it only happened with this ACD file ! Other projects are just showing and working fine. That's the first time it does that.

Here's the acd file : http://zacchino.free.fr/I%20wanna%20tell%20you.acd

This issue is really really weird ! I know all the bugs that came to me in Acid, but there's no workaround with this one.

Is there a way to repair the file (my backup is corrupted too) ?

Please please this time I need help quickly ! I've tryied to find a workaround by zooming in and out tracks but the GUI of this file is tottaly bugged !

I can't work on this huge acd project anymore now, several days of works, I don't have the time to rebuild it, it would take ages (and I know what I'm saying).

As I said, before I had no problem with this one. It happened after a recording (not after a crash as far as I remember though).

I can't believe that software is doing that kind of things JUST to me. I'm also wondering about its professionnal status now. So don't disappoint me and at least give me an answer to this joke !

Fadengo,
We have a fix for this problem, which will be released with the 5.0a update. Meanwhile, I've emailed you a cleaned up version of the project you posted, along with more details on how to restore it completely.

Thanks for your patience,

Fandego.

I looked at your project.

My goodness! 78 some odd tracks with Wave RenEQ on each track!!!

Are you experiancing any performance hits with that many RenEQs?

Renaissance EQ.

(Actually the short name is Waves REQ 4 Bands, not RenEQ.)

Nope why ? I put Waves' ReQ 4 as default for each track ^^. No performance gliches. For each project. Waves and Acid are rock solid. Sony's are great but they don't have this "trim" function (when it peaks) as far as I remember.

That is the intent of the feature - to be able to replace the default EQ with what you want. The Waves plugs are just not known for their "optimal" performance - at least not in the past.

Was just surpised. I am glad it works for you.
