Subject:Compressor Spikes

I've noticed that when I crank my compression, the part spikes when it first comes in. Sounds bad. How can I not have that spike at the beginning?

I'm using the Sony Track Compressor that comes with ACID Pro 5..

Have you tried putting an automatable FX envelope for the Track Compressor's output gain? (Use the Bus tracks view (B on your keyboard) if this is used on the entire mix.)

You might try lowering your attack time so that the compressor kicks in faster.
