Subject:WMVCORE.DLL Error When Opening Acid 4.0

ACID 4.0 was working fine for months; until tonight. When opening the program, the following error message appears repeatedly (I had to close a number of identical dialog boxes)...

The title of the dialog box is...
"acid40.exe Entry Point Not Found"

The error message itself is...

"The procedute entry point WMCreateBackupRestorer could not be located in the dynamic link library wmvcore.dll"

I've made no changes to the computer; hardware or software wise; this error just started appearing out of the blue.

I've done web searches; even the Microsoft site, but haven't found any relevant information. Any and all hellp would be appreciated.

Sounds like something essential belonging to Windows Media. Do you have the latest version of it? (Go to Windows Update to pick it up.)
