Subject:Removing high pitched buzz from recorded voice audio

I did some voice recording and found to get the volume I needed I had to use a high recording level. Unfortunately this has left me with a high pitched buzz on the recordings. I am trying to get rid of this without affecting the voice too much.
I am using Sound Forge Audio Studio 7 and am pretty inexperienced, I have managed so far using Amplitude Modulation to reduce the buzz slightly but it's not helped too much.
Any idea what tools will help me most with this and how?

Have you tried EQ? If you have the full version of Sound Forge you can use graphic EQ and set a notch to remove the frequency range of the buzzing without affecting the rest of the spectrum too badly. If you have the studio version then even using the 10 band EQ should allow you to remove high pitch noise without affecting the voice much.

Thanks! Funnilly enough just after posting my question I did in fact discover the graphic equaliser function and was able to completely remove the buzz with no loss of sound quality.

Thanks for your help though!

Red,

Would the noise reduction plug in be a suitable tool for this job?

If he had the full version of SF, more that likely.

NR 2.0 excels in this type of noise removal. Unfortunately he has "Studio".
