couldn't a patch be made available to correct the problem that Acid feels it necessary to re-scan my VST folder every single time i start-up? Failing that, where's the update?? :( |

not sure this is a bug, dude: cubase and most aps do the same, idea is it checks what plugs you've made available to use each session. Very useful if a plug is causing a problem in a project, you can exit, remove the offending plug from the plugins folder, and restart. it'll re-scan, and as the bad plug's gone it'll load without it! |

No, it's a bug that's already been covered here. While ACID should only re-scan when it detects a change in the folder, it does scan too often (and poke at things it shouldn't bother with). Some plug-ins trigger this behavior more than others, I think SampleTank was the biggie. It will be addressed in the first update, though I don't have a date. J. |
