Subject:acid 4.0 playing tracks in reverse?

how do you make a track play in reverse, ie like having a guitar solo play in reverse for that "reverse guitar" hendrix type effect? also are there any updates ro service packs for 4.0? i had 5.0 but didnt like it as much so i went back to 4.0... 5.0 seemed to freeze up more often when running 20+ tracks

You can't do it in ACID 4, you'll need ACID 5.0 for that. Or you could import the track into an external audio editor, like Sound Forge, process it (use Reverse process), and then re-import back into ACID 4. In ACID 5, it is just one keystroke and you can do it in realtime without any glitches. I have no problem playing back 20, 30 or 40 tracks, in ACID Pro 5, BTW. This is with a 4 year old PIII 1Ghz/512MB DAW too.
