What resolution is your screen running at? Perhaps the Apply button is off the bottom of the screen. Try using a higher video resolution and see if that helps.

I dunno how to change the resolution, but it doesn't matter....you were right. The apply button is off the bottom of the screen. I simply have to lower the task bar to access it. The line was just right at the bottom of the screen and I was fooled because the preference window is larger than 4.0

Right-click on the Windows desktop and select Properties. Go to the Settings tab and adjust the Screen resolution slider. If you are at 800x600 you really should try at least 1024x768.

I did this in 4.0 and then again in 5.0. It took me over 30 min. to remember what I did.
