Sorry, it's been awhile since your post in the "3 problems with Acid" thread. Long enough that I figure I better start a new thread.

Here's what I've noticed regarding non-Acidized loop previews.
They play back fine in Acid's Explorer. If I switch to MM, they all play except maybe 1 or 2.
If I close Acid and re-open, and I preview from MM first, it's more like 5-6 that don't preview. It's never the same one, and if I skip to the next one and come back, it'll play.

When I say that a loop doesn't preview, what I mean is that there is a fraction of a second that plays, and it stops. Like a blip sound.

If you'd like me to upload my loops (56 zipped loops, 15 megs) to your ftp site, let me know. I'd picked up a Giga Sound Pack from Micro Application when I had Acid 2.0.

Yes, I've experienced the blip which is disconcerting - sometimes it's difficult to work out if the whole loop has been played or just a bit of it.. Sometimes I need to preview a track 3-4 times before it will play completely.

We'll look at this - thanks.

I'd like to try something on my end.
I've never done this, so forgive me if it seems basic.

How can I batch Acidize wave files?
I'd like to Acidize the files I supplied to Sony, and see if that cures the problem. Ideally, I could Acidize them all in one shot.

Any ideas?

Mario

EDIT: I have Sound Forge, AP 5, Vegas, and Batch Converter 5. Didn't see anything in BC5 that could accomplish this.

OK... I read up on the batch Acidizing thing. Can't be done.
So I Acidized the loops I sent Sony and tried previewing them again in MM.
The ol' "tick" preview was still there. The odd loop would only give a tick sound when trying to preview.

Thought I was onto something. Oh well. :-(

Hello,

I have this problem too, it happens with auto preview turned on, and every 3 or 4 previews it'll stop and I have to click play manually then it will play the loop that stopped, so it's deffinately not the loops.

See ya, Rockitglider
