project pixel width question

I'm trying to do a project that has a width of 2160 pixels (square pixels, progressive). Vegas wont let me go bigger than 2048. Anyone know why or have a work around?

The Vegas project size and render to file max is 2048 x 2048.

What are you needing 2160 for?

I'm doing some work for multi screen projection and would love to have 3 720pixel wide files side by side in Vegas (720X3 = 2160). Actually I'd love to have a lot more than that, is this something that can be changed or would be changed by Sony? I know After Effects and FCP can do 2160.
