Can't load a .veg!

rdolishny wrote on 1/19/2005, 6:26 PM
Got an error message trying to load a good veg:

An error occurred while loading the project foo.veg
The file could not be created. Another file with that name exists.

Any suggestions? It gets about 17% done then give me that message. I do incremental saves and they are all pooched. Luckily, all other veg' s on the go are loading fine.

Had this happen to me once, think I moved veg to new folder and deleted the back up file veg.bak.

You created two bins with the same name. You might try downloading 5.0d and see if that opens it. Otherwise, you need to manually edit the file to change the name of one of those bins (or see if you can send it to Sony to fix it for you).

any chance you can GO BACK, or RESET or whatever XP calls it. to a time when it worked?

yeah...that was my problem in the middle of a hugeeeee project last year.

I sent the file(s) to sony tech support....
they sent it back, fixed.

Don't have to media bins with the same name, uppercase or not - no same names!
