Subject:ACID replaced my record take with a new one!

I'm using Pro 4.0 by the way...So I had this acid project that I did a few days ago. Then yesterday I recorded a new project with piano and vocals. I come back to the first project, and I don't hear the drum part anymore - instead i hear the piano part from the new project! So I scroll to the drum track, and ACID had replaced "record take 12" which was previously my drum track with the new part i had recorded yesterday! This is a serious problem because I could easily loose a lot of work this way. I went into the folder and checked to make sure that the record take had been replaced. I can't figure out why it would do this. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? thanks a lot.

1. Start all new projects in a new folder
2. Rename your takes to something useful like Drums or Piano, or Vocals

ACID should not have recorded over your old take. In fact, I wish it would because when doing a retake of something I don’t want, ACID forces me to use a new filename. I can’t imagine how it recorded over your old part without warning you about it first. This is very strange. Anyway, make sure you are using the latest update (ACID Pro 4.0f) and start all new projects in a new folder should help a lot.
