How do you use the vol Max in wave hammer? What does it do to the file.
compress or just raise the volume. I would like to know how to raise t he whole file without having to go through all the peaks to reduce them all and then use normalize. There must be a fas ter way to do t his. Thanks Patti

What does it do to the file. compress or just raise the volume.

Both, it does exactly what you want to do without the need for Normalize.

Play with it and see, ideally your audio file is going to be already peaking somewhere around -6 to -3 dB already. WH's Volume Maximizer's threshold is set to -6, I believe, by default. If not, for "playing with it purposes" lower the threshold until you see about -6 dB of attenuation.
