Hi Acidheads. Im still in Acid basic training but getting better. My question #1 is: What is the easiest and fastest way to take a beat sample and paste it all the way across for a 4 minute song? Question #2: I find that I have to use Snap to Grid in order for the timing to be right. Is this the only way?? Man, if I dont use Snap to Grid, the timing is all out of wack. Any tricks? thanks. D P.s. I m just working with simple - kick, snare and hi hat samples. Nothing fancy |

Ans #1: If you mean having a loop repeat for 4 minutes there is no quick way. You have to drag the edge out to the 4-minute mark. If it’s a 4 minute beatmap or one shot, you can use Ctrl+Paint Tool and click once at the place you want it to start. It will paint for the entire duration of the file. Ans #2: You can change the grid to any musical interval you want (i.e., measures, half notes, quarter notes, etc.) then snapping will snap to those intervals. You don’t want to turn snapping off unless you deliberately want something to NOT be in time. Snapping is what makes ACID so easy to edit with. ~jr |
