It's me again, reporting my odd bugs in AP5 :) Here's one I get very much often, when exiting Acid or sometimes when stop playing a song in Acid's sequencer (less often). I get the standard ntdll message, then I get this "red cross" message in a window only proposing me to clic on OK : ReWire DLL (window's title) D:\Projects\rewire\Parts\Smuggler\Smuggler\Source\Utilities\SStandardVerify.cpp(227) : VERIFY failure |

This has been discussed and the reason presented in this forum many times now. This msg is debug code warnings from the Propellerhead's ReWire subsystem. Any crash causing ACID to shut down will cause the ReWire system DLL provided by Propellerhead's to post this msg when it attempt to be accessed. If you have details on what causes this to happen, that would be of interest. Thanks Peter |

Well, tell me were I can find more precisions to workaround this one ! My guess is Gigasampler's windows-started-up services causing trouble. I have Reason, Giga, and Melodyne . But Melodyne didn't caused me any trouble so far. I'm gonna check this one out in Gigasampler's forums. I'll get back as soon as I have some news ( if I find something interesting) |

After a few searches in google, I found something that sum up the situation for most of the users having the issue : "I have the same error as you with logic on pc. research in the internet showed me we are not alone with this problem. the problem hits cubase, acid, fuityloops users as well. the only thing what helps me is to reinstall the soundcard drivers. but after a while the problem is again back. i still have no idea where it comes from. " PS : It also hit Sonar's users. On our forum, this post here (http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/Forums/ShowMessage.asp?Forum=1&MessageID=224700) might be the one you were talking about. Well, I've downloaded and opend up Mr. Stale's ACD session, and the same error just popped out to me. On Proppelershead's forum, the issue has been discoverd almost 2 years ago. The only workaround would be a uninstall/reinstallation of Reason itself, but don't seem to work (as for uninstalling and re-installing Sonar or Cubase). Some says that after this very manipulation, the issue is gone but comes back later... That's a sum up of all I found related on this issue. Case closed ? Only if Proppelerheads are working on this one. |
