Subject:Connect MiniDisc Recorder/Mixer and edit in ACID

Hello - I have a Sony MDMX4 Mixer/Recorder which I would like to connect to my PC, port tracks to my PC and edit in ACID.

Has anyone done something similar and could provide me with tips and know how? (What cables are needed to connect, how to get the tracks onto PC so that they can be imported and edited within ACID)

Any information anyone can provide will be helpful.

Thanks

Hi Sifter,

As far as I know, ACID cannot import the tracks directly from MD. Tried looking for specs on that model. Since it appears it has 1/4" outs, you could connect it to a audio interface/soundcard with the appropriate inputs and record the tracks that way.

(Aren't there MiniDisc players that interface with a user's PC as well? I know ACID can export to MD using its software interface...)
