Problem in acid pro 5 usign Edirol Orchestral -ACID Product Family

Subject:Problem in acid pro 5 usign Edirol Orchestral Posted by: douidou Date:1/7/2005 3:15:59 PM hello, Edirol Orchestral VST worked fine in acid pro 4, but in the 5, for a mysterious reason, when I do "insert soft synth", and chose Edirol Orchestral, it opens 3 times (orchestral appears 3 times just like if I had inserted 3 times the same) instead of one. This is not terrible but it does change the numbers and when using a song made in the 4 version, everythning is shifted... If any one knows why ? thank you David (paris France)

You can route the output of the different instruments in Orchestral to any of the 4 outputs. However, note that Orchestral has a bug in that it does not in any way persist the bus routings you assign to it internally. What this means is that Orchestral's multibus output is useless unless you are willing to manually re-rout its voicing upon reloading an existing ACID project. Be nice if they would fix this, but to date, they have not responded to requests as to why they work this way. I have not discovered any other multibus VSTis that behave this way. Peter

If it has a way of controlling how many outputs it exposes then this is how to change it. Otherwise, there is no way to change this in ACID 5. It is just exposing all the outputs it sees. I have NI Kontakt and it allows me to control the number of outputs so I can set them anywhere from 2 to 16 stereo pairs. ~jr

It does not seem to have a way of memorizing that I don't need it... In fact this is a real pain in the a... Peter, I am using edirol Orchestral because of their great strings sounds. But if you know another VST (and with a real output control that can be set and memorized) with real nice and "real looking" strings, let me know. david

You would have to do this in the Edirol Orchestral VST. If it has a way of controlling how many outputs it exposes then this is how to change it. Otherwise, there is no way to change this in ACID 5.
