Subject:recording new track bounces other tracks to the new one

im getting a strange recording problem. When I try to record a new track, any other track that is open in the project gets bounced to the new one. Whats strange is when i turn the monitor off in the recording window, it's fine (but unfortunately i need the monitor on while recording) It does this on two versions of Acid on my computer. Any Ideas??

Could they be routed to the same device you are recording into? I've had that happen in Vegas.

Read the knowledge base for FAQ 640 (I'm hearing part of my audio project bleed into my vocal track. How can I fix this?) and see if that fixes it.
