Subject:Floating point temporary files

Stumbled over the unchecked ‘Use Floating point temporary files’ in the preference dialog.
Does this means, that every subsequence processing on a loaded 16-bit file, the floating point result is truncated back to 16-bit. I believed the 32-bit floating point format always was retained throughout the effect processes.

Floats are maintained between effects in the Plug-In Chainer. Otherwise, the pref must be enabled to retain float precision between multiple processes. That's what it's there for.

Personally, I think it should be enabled by default and perhaps hidden from the user.
