I was using Acid Pro 4.0, and everything worked fine. I updated to 4.0f, and now when I try to record or playback, there is about a 15 second delay before the cursor kicks in, and the audio is out of sync. When I switch the audio device to Windows Wave Destroyer or whatever, it works fine. By the way, I'm using a SB Audigy. I saw problems similar to this in a couple other threads, with suggestions of downloading a driver from the Creative site. What driver would this be? If it ends up not works, should i get a new soundcard? |

Your sound card should be okay. The site for the drivers is: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ Then choose Sound Blaster / Audigy / and your card model. Download the drivers recommended on the page. You should uninstall your old drivers before you install the new, but just upgrading (overwriting) the old drivers will probably work. This took care of my latency problem and allowed me to use ASIO. I'm still going to get a good M-Audio card for the recording quality, but at least I'm working for now on the Audigy. Terry |

Try what JustOneOldMan suggested. If that doesn't work, try a complete uninstall and reinstall using just the 4.0f update (which actually can act as the complete version). You may, indeed, benefit from a new soundcard. The MiaMIDI from Echo and the Audiophile 2496 from M-Audio are good choices. Be sure to do your research to see what you need. I love Aqua Teen Hunger Force. That show is freakin' hysterical. Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid Pre-order Instant ACID mD at ACIDplanet Guitars 4 Kids |

I'd get drivers from KX Project...http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?skip=1 ASIO4ALL...http://michael.tippach.bei.t-online.de/asio4all/ These both work far better than the creative drivers. |
