Your opinion about loops CDs ? -ACID Product Family

Subject:Your opinion about loops CDs ? Posted by: FuTz Date:12/30/2004 6:23:26 AM With A5 we can choose a free loops CD. I'm looking for your opinion concerning 2 titles: "Blip" and "James Johnson's Slow Silouhette". I mainly create music for video so I'm looking more into "ambiances" and being able to easily edit (chop) these loops to create effects to blend with my tracks. Both of these 2 CDs seem alright to me, but what I want to avoid is beats. I don't want beats, or as few as I can. I got a beatbox so it's ok for beats. Since we can't view all the titles on these CDs (just samples/fieve of them or so...), which one would you recommand? thanks!

Build & SplatterCell also have worked out for me pretty well... David.

I ask cause I noticed there's around 700 loops on Blip and 150 or so on Slow Silouhette... ? I wouldn't buy something I won't use and indeed, the samples that are on the site from Slow Sil. sound terrific already...

Reply by: DKeenum Date:12/30/2004 11:05:42 AM There have been some "get media" loops over the past year that were from the slow silouhette collection, and they were consistent with the demo loops, so I would think the whole collection would be too. I do know that the SS loops are large and long - like 20 seconds or more.
