A Very Blessed and Joyful Christmas to all of you here who celebrate Christ’s birthday. Happy Hanukkah to those of you who don’t. Either way it’s a special time of year to stop and reflect and give thanks for all that we have. Including each other. Enjoy,

I, for one, am glad to see 2004 to be over with. This year has brought me more strife and disaster than the previosu 32 years of my life combined.

I hope 2005 will be better and I will do all that I can to make sure it is better than 2004. Maybe 2005 will be the year I get the big break or at least a break from bad luck. Either way, Id welcome either.

What I am curious about is what 2005 will bring the way of technology. Will we finally see a prosumer camera that records to some sort of disc and finally have a chance to be done with tape based recording systems? Or will Sony finally implement some features as making my coffee before I get up in the morning or at the very least, read/write support for .mp4 containers and support HE-AAC audio. id prefer the latter but will settle for the former. :)

I do expect to see H.264 kick the heck out of MS in 2005 look veyr much forward to next Christmas season with the first H.264 AVC HD-DVD players/recorders should be out on the market in droves.

But most of all, I hope 2005 brings success to each and everyone on this forum and to those who are out there trying to make a difference in the daily lives (i.e. officers, fire departments, teachers, etc....)

All the best to all for another year, from Perth. It's Christmas morning here, and today will be 36 C (96 F) - somehow Santa landed his sleigh ok.

As others have said, this forum is terrific.

- and a peace wish - may all those fighting over who is right about God realise that they've all got it wrong.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all....

If you have kids and they get into the Santa thing (or if you still believe), this website is tracking him right now. My daughter is excited to know he is in Alaska heading this way.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Chanuka, Happy Kwanza, Happy Solstice, Happy Saturnalia, and for those of us "without gods", just be happy!

May we all have a happy, prosperous, creative, and generally engaged new year. For those waiting for the Lunar New Year, celebrate twice!

Cheers and best wishes to a great user community.

Merry Christmas and Happy holidays to all as well from me too.
Just arrived in Arkansas, from a 4 day drive(normally would take 2), but the winter storm that swept accross the midwest etc. slowed us down a tad.
I wish I could have been filming the scenes on the roadway, cars all over the place in the ditches etc....rather surreal. But since I was driving and at "pucker factor 5" (thats on a scale of 1-4) I figured I best leave the cammy safe in its case)
But its nice to be up where snow is and have a white Christmas.
Somehow the feeling is a bit different down in FL.
I miss the snow ,but I DONT miss the Cold........
Have a great NEW YEAR All, and thanks again to all you forum members!!

Wish you all a joyfull and safe holiday season and a happy, healthy and properous 2005.

I'm fairly new to the Vegas forum family, but in the last few months have gained tons of invaluable information, tips and tricks. Thanks everyone who took time to help with various issues. Look forward to much more of the same in the New Year, and particulary learning enough that I can someday contribute myself.

It's minus 9 degrees celsius in Toronto, Canada today, so it's interesting to hear from those at the opposite end of the spectrum talking about cranking up the A/C. Only 82 (or thereabouts) days until Spring though!
