Preparation and burn do not complete

. . . whether I run them as separate steps or select the option to "Prepare and Burn."

My render completes at an acceptable pace to 99% at which point everything freezes. Only option is to shut down the computer using its power switch.

When I power back up, the audio/video_ts folders are where I would expect to find them, and I can open the video_ts folder, view the files, click on and play them if I want.

When I burn, the burn also proceeds to an almost complete state, then, also freezes. I have to cancel to regain control of the computer. The video files will be on my DVD, and, at the computer, I can navigate to, select, and play them. No go in my DVD player.

I've used DVDA2 successfully on this machine in the past. No new hardware. So, what's going on here? Can anyone help?

For what it's worth, I'm running XP Pro on a Pentium 4 3.0 Gig w/ 1.5 Gigs of ram, plenty of hard disk space, both on my system drive and on other non-system drives.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
