Subject:Midi Question

I am still having some issues with the MIDI thing. I can't seem to get Acid to Trigger my Drum Machine. I have an Alesis HR-16 (Old I know). Is there some place I can read up on setting up the Triggering Feature?

NOTE: This post has been edited to show how to generate MIDI Clock since the HR-16 doesn't support MTC. ~jr

I don’t know how you tell the Alesis HR-16 to sync to MIDI Clock but here is how you get ACID to generate it:

1. In ACID select Options > Preferences from the main menu
2. Click the MIDI tab
3. In the top listbox for MIDI output, check the MIDI device you want to transmit MIDI Clock on.
4. Click the Apply button
5. Click the Sync tab
6. Under Generate MIDI Clock settings: Output device select the same MIDI output you just enabled on the MIDI tab.
7. Press the OK button
8. Select Options > Timecode > Generate MIDI Clock (Shift+F7)

That should get ACID to generate MIDI Clock when you press the Play button. Just set up your Alesis HR-16 to sync to it.

Hr 16 will only accept Midi clock, not MTC. Also, make sure your project proerties are st to standard 44.1, 16 bit. Frommy experience, most midi gear does not like any other resolutions. Luces

Thanks, I've edited my original post to show how to generate MIDI Clock instead of MTC.
