I have question to ask. Jus got AP5 on friday loaded it on my laptop (pain in da a*%) but it finally works except for fact that everytime I open acid even in ap4 it tells me an unknown error occured with no details button to click on., but never mind that, that s a whole diffeent issue. So, on my home computer I uninstalled ap4 completely, then I installed ap5, and go to start it up and it hangs up on the splash up screen, and the Acid never goes beyond that point. Can anyone help me. I hate to complain, because I do love Acid Pro. But this AP5 has been nothing but problems trying to get it running. After I got it running on my laptop it runs fien except for for few bugs here and there. |

Try temporarily renaming your VST plug-ins folder. Alternatively, temporarily rename "sfvstwrap.dll" in the ACID folder. Note that either one of these will disable VST effects support in ACID. J. |

Do you have a folder, on your computer, named "VST Plugins"? If so, try re-naming (temporarily at least) to something else, say "VST Plugins 2". Now try to re-open A5. A5 will look to this default VST folder when it first opens and scan all your VST plugins, if during this scanning process, if it encounters a problem plugin, it will sometimes just abort and A5 will not continue to open. After opening ACID, go to the "VST" tab, under "Preferences" and locate that renamed VST folder and try doing a manual re-scan. You may have a problem plugin that is keeping ACID from opening. ------------------------------------------------------------ everytime I open acid even in ap4 it tells me an unknown error occured with no details button to click on., but never mind that, that s a whole diffeent issue. ------------------------------------------------------------ i get this message too every time i start ACID. the reason for this is that i have disabled the "terminal services" service from XP. disabling this service will generate this error, but it does not affect the performance of ACID at all. |
