im haveing a problem getting the extracted c/d track to show up in the track view area. i want to add a drum section to my composition that im trying to extract from a c/d. ive followed the direction in the help section and the book and extracted the file but when i drag it to the track view area there is nothing there. ive sucessfully recorded and burned a c/d but this extracting is not working for me. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP.

You need to paint the wave on the track. This is a common error when first learning ACID. We’ve all been there, done that, have the sheepish expression to prove it. ;-)

Try using the Paint Tool (the paint bush) and hold down the Ctrl key and Click on the beginning of the track. Ctrl+Paint Tool will paint the entire wave file wherever you click.
