Subject:Digi002 or MBox as Soundcard

I am a Protools LE user but I also love Soundforge. I now want to have these two applications running on the same Windows XP machine.

My question is this.

Can I use either a Digi002 or an Mbox as the dedicated soundcard for Soundforge to record and to playback audio (I don't mean simultaneously).

From posts I have read I am thinking you can only playback audio from Soundforge using these two soundcards due to no ASIO support.

Can anyone give me a definte answer to this.

Cheers

Metro

Doesn't the Digi002 and the Mbox both have WDM drivers as well? If so, you're in business.

You can not record in Sound Forge with the Digi Windows Classic Wavedrivers, only playback.

You can record/playback with the Digi ASIO drivers.

Note that Sound Forge 7.0 does not support ASIO drivers. I believe an older version of the Digi Wave drivers allowed recording, but they removed it from the most recent version. Both were still available on their website the last time I looked. There was a thread on this forum a while back if you want to find specific version numbers.

Soundforge needs to be updated to support DIGI users.
