Could you outline your step by step procedure for connecting ACID to Cubase? Peter |

Yea, once you start ACID it comes up in regular mode. I don’t have Cubase but in SONAR, you add ACID as a ReWire device just like adding a VSTi. You never start ACID. SONAR does that for you. So does Tracktion. ACID has to be brought up in ReWire device (client) mode for this to work. Think of it this way, you are not wiring the two together like MIDI sync. You are actually imbedding one “inside” the other. Cubase is the “host” and ACID is the “client” device. ~jr |

I've also tried it this way, for some reason it just wont work....Started Cubase then opened devices, clicked the Acid as a rewire option in devices, clicked on the Master L & R channels.....when Acid is then opened it does'nt sync....there is no sound, even a loss in sound from Cubase, can see the bar moving on cubase but acid sits still, when I check the options it says it is rewired....but when I rewire Reason to Cubase, no problems , or even when I rewire Reason to Acid it runs ok....Just dont get this, this is the only rewire I get a problem with......Its as if Acid wont run as a slave, dont know if there is a option needs disabled or enabled......thanks for the feedback so far guys! |

I just tested with Cubase SX 2.2. Either your work flow or the one suggested by ozzborn work. When you launch ACID, to the right of the ACID transport buttons, it should say "ReWire Device Mode". If not, then something is wrong. I cannot reproduce your problem though. I just works Cubase or Nuendo. What are your hardware settings - particularly the "expert" settings in Cubase? Peter |

> before i upgrade to 5.0 i need to know if this works. So why don’t you download the trial and try it? > can anyone tell me from what version of acid it has been possbile to use acid as a rewire slave? This is a new feature for ACID Pro 5.0 ~jr |
